Reliable combustion equipment is essential for sustained operation of steam generation systems. Our coal pulverizers, ignitors, burners, air systems and integrated designs provide for robust combustion systems to ensure long-term, effective and efficient operation.
Pulverizers
From our original E/EL ball-and-race type pulverizers for lower capacity applications, to the latest B&W Roll Wheel™ pulverizer capable of grinding up to 230,000 pounds of coal per hour (104,300 kg/hr), we set the standard for high availability, reliability and low maintenance. We also provide a complete range of high-wear replacement components.
Burners
Since 1971, B&W has sold low NOx combustion systems for more than 120,000 MW of generating capacity in both new and retrofit boiler applications. Our low NOx burner technology has been successfully applied to a broad range of B&W and non-B&W units.
Overfire Air Systems
Our cost-effective overfire air systems are in operation achieving significant levels of NOx reduction while maintaining boiler thermal performance.
FPS® Ignitors, Scanners, Valves, Controls and Level Measurement Equipment
The FPS® product line of combustion equipment and safety systems are currently being used throughout the industry on flame scanning, gas/oil ignition and water level measurement equipment. Combined with our boiler and burner expertise, we are one of very few companies in the world that can provide complete boiler gas conversion expertise.
Parts & Service
B&W provides modifications, improvements and in-kind replacements of boiler pressure parts and non-pressure parts, and for all boiler-related components such as pulverizers or mills, burners, ignitors, air heaters, sootblowers, and ash handling equipment.
