SPIG® Cooling Systems
SPIG® Cooling Systems
B&W’s SPIG® product line includes an extensive range of turnkey cooling systems, aftermarket upgrades, replacement parts and services, as well as system monitoring and controls.
SPIG® Cooling System Overview
Our experience includes wet cooling (mechanical and natural draft) systems, dry cooling systems and hybrid cooling solutions as dictated by site-specific requirements.
Dry Cooling Systems
Dry cooling technology, both air-cooled condensers (ACC) and air fin coolers (AFC), represent an increasingly substantial portion of B&W SPIG’s global technology applications, as water preservation is becoming a priority for plant owners and operators.
Wet Cooling Towers
B&W can supply natural draft and both induced or forced draft wet cooling towers designed for a wide range of project requirements such as high seismic and wind loads, vibration control, corrosion resistance, low-noise emission, sub-freezing operation and fresh, geothermal, sewer or sea water applications.
Hybrid Cooling Towers
Our wet/dry (hybrid) cooling tower technology lessens environmental impact by coupling the wet cooling tower with a dry section, an optimal solution for plume abatement and water savings.
Cooling Tower Inspections & Online Monitoring
We provide inspection, testing, and component supply of a wide range of equipment, including fan stack, mechanical group, drift eliminator, spray nozzle and filling. We also provide a unique online monitoring system which analyzes critical performance data on cooling towers and air-cooled heat exchangers while in operation.
Cooling Tower Parts & Services
B&W’s range of aftermarket capabilities includes basic technical assistance and field service support as well as installation, commissioning and startup, performance testing and optimization, and recommendations for replacement parts, upgrades, energy savings and wet-dry conversions.
