Powering the Future of Data Centers

Meet Us at Booth #915

YOTTA Expo 2026

B&W offers proven solutions to support your power demand, development schedule & future growth

With the current reality of surging power demand, the gas turbine bottleneck, and a very real potential market advantage for first movers, our unique, utility-grade FastPower solutions get your power campus up and running faster than other large-build options.

Babcock & Wilcox (B&W) addresses power needs with the ability to deploy firm power using robust, reliable power generation technologies with a scalable approach. As the power solution for your data campus, B&W can handle your data center power project through all its stages, from design, to delivery and construction.

Speed

On-site power generation sidesteps the 3-5 year interconnect queue while helping address utility price concerns from local communities that often cause permitting and related delays.

Cost Savings

Temporary “bridge” power options typically come with high OPEX and replacement costs. More efficient “foundation” power solutions are needed to lower OPEX while providing a base for future growth.

Stability

Steam is the most deployed power technology on earth. There is no first-of-a-kind risk — which is the entire point. The proven power of B&W natural gas boilers, paired with state-of-the-art steam-driven turbines, enables you to reduce your deployment schedule versus standalone gas turbine options.

Whether your servers need the computing power to run AI workloads or the infrastructure to store essential data, B&W's FastPower solution provide the highly reliable uptime and resilience needed for mission-critical data center operations.

Bypass Turbine Bottlenecks

B&W's modular approach begins generating firm power in less than other large-build power solutions

Using gas-fired boiler and steam turbine technology, you'll be able to generate power without waiting for combustion turbines. The proven reliability of steam-based power continues to support operations when performance and uptime are most critical.

Modular scalability and phased flexibility align with incremental growth to reduce risk and speed project timelines.

The platform scales from 50 MW blocks to 300 MW plants, enabling phased investment aligned with demand growth. Blocks can be repeated so that 2 GW of power becomes a modular assembly of proven, bankable units rather than a single mega-project. You’ll satisfy immediate foundational power needs while gaining long-term efficiency through a multi-phased process. The design adapts to market prices, regulatory changes, and combustion turbine availability without stranding capital.

Future integration capability — from improved efficiency to environmental regulatory benefits.

Combustion turbines can be added later to improve efficiency, preserving early power generation benefits. The existing boiler is converted to (or operates as) a heat recovery steam generator, creating a true “enhanced combined cycle.” And all FastPower solutions are carbon-capture ready to ensure you are prepared for the regulatory environment of 2030 and beyond.

Who Should Attend?

Instead of standing in the same line with everyone waiting for a combustion turbine, visit the B&W booth to find out how our solutions can get you started faster.

  • Learn how B&W can reduce your timeline to initial power

  • Discuss your specific project challenges with our experienced team

  • Explore modular foundational power solutions

  • Find out how our phased approach can help you save on your capital expenditure

  • Discover the value of a tested and trusted power solution that has been around since the beginning of power generation

Base vs. Bridge Power: Building Utility-Grade Base Power with Architecture for Future Growth

With nearly 50% of data center projects at risk due to power constraints, gas turbine bottlenecks have made data center development a race to secure power. While some opt for short-term bridge power, forward-thinking developers are exploring base power solutions that satisfy their initial power demand and project timelines, but can also adapt to integrate gas turbines for combined cycle to accommodate later load growth. Join us to discuss these contrasting power generation strategies and practical approaches to balancing today’s speed with tomorrow’s adaptability.
