Babcock & Wilcox Rings in 2026 with The Closing Bell® at NYSE

Babcock & Wilcox had the honor of ringing The Closing Bell® at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) on Thursday, January 8. The timing is significant: as the United States marks its 250th year of independence, B&W celebrates nearly 160 years of supporting energy independence. It also commemorates the 10th anniversary of B&W's listing on the NYSE under the "BW" symbol. 

Bell-ringing at the Exchange to signal the opening and closing of financial trading each day began in the 1870s. You can read more about the history on the NYSE website.

B&W's Chairman and CEO Kenneth Young and other members of the Board and management team participated in the time-honored tradition of ringing the bell:

In addition to The Closing Bell ceremony, Young provided his perspective on "NYSE Live" and CFO Cameron Frymyer was interviewed on NYSE's "Taking Stock."
