10 Secrets to a Longer Life

Waste-to-energy boiler operators know: thermal and mechanical grate wear increases maintenance costs. As a fuel, waste tends to be unpredictable and varies over time. It presents challenges for the plant, and can cause mechanical, thermal and chemical wear. The good news is there is a way to characterize waste fuel and predict calorific values. Two B&W experts offer suggestions to optimize combustion and minimize grate wear.

B&W Boilers Turn Up the Heat in Canada

B&W Thermal will design, manufacture and supply two industrial boilers to Creative Energy for district heating in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. The two water-tube package boilers, designed to fire natural gas or fuel oil, will be manufactured in our Monterrey, Mexico, facility.

No time to waste to plan for waste

We aren’t letting a pandemic stop us from connecting with customers and discussing plans for advancing renewable technology around the world!  B&W participated in the 9th World Waste-to-Energy & Resources Summit, originally planned to be held in the U.K. but switched to a virtual event due to travel restrictions and COVID-19 health and safety concerns. B&W Chief Operating Officer Jimmy Morgan was a featured panelist for the event’s roundtable discussion with industry executives on project collaboration modeling. Several other B&W experts conducted virtual meetings with customers throughout the three-day event. Want to learn more about our waste-to-energy technology?
