Biomass in Motion

When complete, a new B&W Loibl conveying system will transport biomass pellet fuel 500m from quay to plant at RWE Generation NL’s Amercentrale power plant in Geertruidenberg, Netherlands. Engineering is underway in our Straubing, Germany offices to design multiple explosion-protected chain conveyors and screw conveyors for safe and reliable fuel feed.

Did you know?

George Babcock was a founding member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) in 1880 and served as its president in 1887.

In fact, B&W received the first ASME Certificate of Authorization to use the ‘A’ stamp – Certificate number A-001 – and has maintained that certificate to this day.
