The Babcock & Wilcox Company has completed a number of pulverizer and fuel system conversion projects on both B&W and non-B&W equipment, where operation or maintenance costs had reached unacceptably high levels.
We have retrofitted non-B&W pulverizers by re-using as much as 30% of the existing mill components and installing B&W internals in custom engineered, modified housings. Such conversions yield significant improvements in performance and availability, while reducing capital and maintenance costs.
