In doing so, the largest field engineering organization in the boiler industry joined the largest field nondestructive testing (NDT) organization in North America. The combined team offers resources to meet both your nondestructive testing and engineering needs.

Our commitment to developing unique services to aid in this assessment has led to well established tests such as NOTIS®, Hone & Glow®, FHyNES®, The Acoustic Ranger®, MANTIS®, and the FST-GAGE® testing services. The Babcock & Wilcox Service Specialists® along with our extensive network of experienced Field Service Engineers provide boiler owners with the comprehensive expertise needed to find innovative solutions to address any boiler problem.
LII has comprehensive testing capabilities in material identification, magnetic particle, dye penetrant, ultrasonics, eddy current, radiography, and magnetic flux leakage testing. They offer specialized tests for near drum tube scanning (UBIS), Accuscan, tube ID thickness mapping (IRIS), ultrasonic mapping test services, tests for detection of moisture under insulation (MUI) and corrosion under insulation (CUI). They also have extensive computer data management and reporting tools such as DMAPS® and the UL boiler program for thickness data acquisition.
