Nuclear Solutions for Government, University and Research Customers
Through our subsidiary, B&W Nuclear Operations Group, Inc. (B&W NOG), we offer a complete range of nuclear components and services for our government customers, primarily including the manufacture of nuclear reactor components for U.S. Naval submarines and aircraft carriers. Fuel for the Naval reactors is provided by B&W NOG subsidiary Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc.
B&W has proudly manufactured naval nuclear components and reactors since the 1950s, when it designed and fabricated components for the USS Nautilus, the world’s first nuclear-powered submarine. To date, the U.S. government has safely steamed more than 140 million miles using components manufactured by B&W’s facilities – a track record that is highlighted by our commitment to safety, quality and integrity.
In addition to its work for the U.S. Navy, we also provides nuclear and non-nuclear research and development and specialty components for other high-precision and mission-critical government, commercial and research applications.
