Description

This seminar provides procedures for obtaining boiler performance data, calculating boiler efficiency and implementing performance improvements on coal-fired units. Participants are educated on utilizing coal as a fuel source and the influence of fuel on the design and operation of combustion systems. Included in the lectures are instrument types, locations for performance testing, boiler performance testing, data records requirements, and data calculations and analysis.

Who Should Attend?

This seminar is designed for operators, engineers and maintenance personnel who will benefit from familiarization with the design, operation and maintenance requirements of pulverized coal-fired boilers. Although some topics are engineering oriented, participants without an advanced degree can greatly benefit from the seminar.
