Description

This seminar educates participants on two technologies for NOx reduction: low NOx burners and selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems. The course reviews NOx generation in the combustion process and current EPA emissions regulations. Also presented are the function, inspection, maintenance and efficient operation of an SCR system. Included are topics covering the design, operation and maintenance of B&W's DRB-4Z® burner and S-type burners (for oil and gas), in addition to auxiliary equipment typically supplied with each burner.

Who Should Attend?

This seminar is designed for operators, engineers, supervisors and maintenance personnel who are interested in the design, operation and maintenance requirements of low NOx burners and SCR systems. The topics are structured for entry- and mid-level operation and maintenance personnel. Although some topics are engineering-oriented, participants without an advanced degree can greatly benefit from the seminar.
