Overview
Babcock & Wilcox Nuclear Operations Group, Inc.'s (B&W NOG) Euclid facility (formally Marine Mechanical Corporation, acquired in 2007) has the resident capabilities to undertake a program from design review to product development, full production and test. The employees at the site, located on the east side of Cleveland, pride themselves on being an irreplaceable supplier to their customers. This is accomplished by being a full-spectrum supplier with design, manufacturing, inspection, assembly and testing capabilities that are responsive to the needs of its customers. The Euclid operation includes some of the most technical and advanced manufacturing operations in the world to produce highly complex, electro-mechanical products.
Mission
Provide value-added electro-mechanical equipment to the U.S. government and other customers with a long-term, business-sustaining return while becoming an irreplaceable supplier.

Contract Budget
The majority of Euclid contracts are negotiated on a fixed-price, incentive-fee basis, providing incentives for cost underruns and protection against cost overruns.
Infrastructure
- B&W manages two facilities in Euclid, Ohio. The main office and general manufacturing facility totals 280,000 square feet. The second facility (located less than one-half mile away) houses a high-bay/deep-pit assembly and test facility totaling 45,000 square feet.
- This facility has over 150 machine tools complimented with welding, inspection, heat treatment and non-destructive testing capabilities.
Workforce
- The Euclid facility boasts a highly skilled and trained employee base. It employs approximately 250 people. Of those, approximately 100 are hourly workers, represented by the United Auto Workers.
- More than 40 percent of the salaried workforce posses an engineering or technical degree; 12 percent have advanced degrees and the average employee has more than 15 years experience in the industry.

- B&W is one of the top 10 employers in the city and is a member of the Euclid Chamber of Commerce.
