Dry Flue Gas Desulfurization Systems

Trona Sorbent Injection for SO3 Mitigation
Through a license with AEP, B&W provides a trona injection system for SO3 mitigation that reduces visible stack emissions due to sulfuric acid mist. The technology is successfully installed and operating at AEP's Gavin facility. The trona system can provide improved stack appearance, reduced acid mist emissions, low sorbent injection rates and minimal operations and maintenance requirements.
