B&W SPIG to Provide Cooling System Services at Petrochemical Plant in Belgium

ARONA, Italy - Babcock & Wilcox SPIG (B&W SPIG), a subsidiary of Babcock & Wilcox Enterprises, Inc., has been awarded a contract to provide cooling tower upgrade services for Total Olefins Antwerp NV (TOA). 

B&W SPIG will develop solutions to improve the performance of an existing cooling tower at Total’s Olefins plant in Antwerp, Belgium. Using proven service engineering capability, B&W SPIG customized an outcome-based solution fulfilling client’s needs. 

“Tailoring similar revamping and upgrading solutions is important to our customers in the oil and gas industry, particularly in the refinery market,” said Felice Meliti, Executive Vice President and Chief Service Officer, B&W SPIG. “This deal marks milestone advancements in our relationship with a top customer and it is a strong demonstration of B&W SPIG’s global domain expertise and capability in delivering custom-engineered cooling service-solutions. This strategy shows how we can leverage our strong know-how to meet our customers’ needs.”

B&W SPIG has begun engineering work on this project and is scheduled to complete work within the third quarter of 2018.
