B&W Nuclear Operations Group (B&W NOG) takes very seriously its role in protecting the United States' national security interests and producing components and equipment that support this effort.
For 50 years, the U.S. government has safely steamed more than 133 million miles using components manufactured by B&W NOG facilities - a track record that is highlighted by our commitment to safety, quality and integrity.
Building upon its long-established reputation as a leader in the nuclear industry, B&W NOG has expanded its nuclear footprint with products used for medicine and research opportunities. B&W NOG's Lynchburg facility houses the group's Uranium Processing and Research Reactors group, which is the only domestic supplier of research reactor fuel elements for colleges, universities and national laboratories. The unit also produces and supplies uranium targets for medical isotopes, which are highly effective in detecting and treating specific types of cancer.
B&W NOG's Mount Vernon and Barberton locations are the only domestic suppliers of large, heavy-pressure vessels that have ASME N-Stamp accreditation. The Mount Vernon facility is strategically placed on the Ohio River and provides total lift capability of 1,000 tons - the largest on the Ohio River.
The Euclid facility is the most recent addition to the B&W NOG family. B&W NOG Euclid manufactures electro-mechanical equipment for U.S. government applications.
