A partnership between B&W and Beijing Boiler Works, Babcock & Wilcox Beijing Co. Ltd. (BWBC) was established in 1986.
The ISO 9001-certified, 111,000m2 facility in Beijing is used to produce industrial and utility boilers up to 1,000 megawatts.
BWBC operates its own heavy drum shop, the largest in northern China. The shop is equipped to handle welding, flaw detection, lifting heat treatment and transportation.
The plant, located in Beijing's Shijingshan District, employs more than 2,000 people.
