B&W NOG's Barberton, Ohio, and Mount Vernon, Ind., locations specialize in the design and manufacture of large, heavy components. The two locations are ASME N-Stamp accredited, making them two of only a few North American suppliers of large, heavy-walled nuclear components and vessels.
B&W NOG facilities in Lynchburg, Va., and Euclid, Ohio, design and supply components for United States government programs. The Lynchburg facility is one of only two private U.S. facilities licensed to possess and process highly enriched uranium. Along with its government work, the Lynchburg site is also home to Nuclear Operations Group's Uranium Processing and Research Reactors group (UPRR), which is skilled in both uranium downblending applications and plate-type reactor design and production for research purposes.
The Euclid facility fabricates electro-mechanical equipment for the U.S. government and has the resident capabilities to take a product from design and production to assembly and final test.
Nuclear Fuel Services, Inc. (NFS) is a subsidiary of B&W NOG. NFS operates a uranium fuel materials production facility to support America's fleet of nuclear-powered submarines and aircraft carriers. It also converts Cold War-era government stockpiles of highly enriched uranium into material suitable for further processing into commercial nuclear reactor fuel. NFS is licensed by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission and employs approximately 800 workers.
